Introduction to Donor Care: (return to top of page)Successful charities are built on relationships. They are often born out of committed individuals who share a similar vision. They grow by expanding that network into an informal organisation of supporters who provide manpower, income and advocacy. But as the organisation becomes more complex and diverse, how is this all-important “personal touch” retained? DonorCare helps establish and build relationships. It records a person’s interests, their previous contacts, their giving pattern, their involvement and how they relate to other individuals or organisations. It enables them to receive focussed communications and to respond in ways that satisfy their aspirations. It helps you build relationships. Whether you are a just starting out , whether you are already a medium sized organisation or whether you are a complex charity with multiple sites - irrespective of your size or the size of your database, DonorCare helps you to treat each person as an individual.
About Donor Care: (return to top of page)DonorCare is a fund-raising and relationship development tool, first released in 1991.
It is designed to help manage supporter relationships without having to employ a team of experts. Using the best of Windows technology together with personal experience of both the front-end and the detailed data aspects, we have made DonorCare easy to use and difficult to break! Adding or editing membership or gift information is quick and intuitive and uses drop down lists to ensure accurate entry. There are no codes to remember and no limits to the number of user-specified categories. It doesn’t require a special operating environment or database experts. It doesn’t duplicate functionality in other products, but integrates and makes use of them. Letters, reports and email can be produced from within DonorCare using familiar tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook. In fact, if you are familiar with Office products, you will quickly be at home with DonorCare.
Security and Flexibility: (return to top of page)DonorCare is password protected allowing fund raising activities to be separated from mailing functions, maintaining confidentiality. All lists (funds, appeals, types of mailing, people’s interests, reasons for involvement and reasons for leaving) are entirely definable. DonorCare tailors relationship fundraising to your organisation, it doesn’t require your organisation to fit the tool.
